Mission Statement

- Committed to fostering an engaged community in District 7.

- Strives to represent and uplift the voices of constituents.

- Believes in a collaborative approach to facilitate positive change and address community challenges.

Town Halls Hosted

- Organized numerous town halls in collaboration with local churches and community centers including:

- Manna Church

- New Beginnings Christian Church

- Aaran Lakes Baptist Church

- Clifdale Community Church

- Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church

- Insoul Fellowship Church

- Clifdale Library

Community Events yearly

- Hosted three Community Outreach Picnics to connect with the homeless community:

- Provided complimentary meals, live music, health services, and recreational activities.

- Collaborated with local organizations and volunteers to support attendees.

Candid Conversations on WIDU Radio 3 years

- Monthly radio show dedicated to open dialogue on community issues.

- Empowering listeners through discussions on local policies and challenges.

- Focus on informing citizens to drive positive change.

Gun Safety Ordinance Advocacy

- Urged discussion on a vehicle secure gun ordinance after a recent triple homicide.

- Highlighted the prevalence of gun thefts from unattended cars, advocating for locked storage.

- Aim is to reduce unintentional harm and future violent crimes linked to stolen firearms.

Transportation Assistance for Seniors and Disabled

- Proposed free transportation assistance via the Community Transportation Program.

- Eligibility criteria include being 60 or older or disabled, resident of Cumberland County, and mobile.

Lifeline Alliance – Adoption Program

- Committed to supporting individuals facing homelessness.

- Focus on providing resources, mentorship, and pathways to self-sufficiency.

Pallet Village for Transitional Housing

- Advocating for a "pallet village" to provide safe, transitional housing for the homeless.

- Collaborating with the community to offer meaningful solutions to homelessness.

Amusement Park Proposal

- Proposed to explore the feasibility of a new amusement or water park for Fayetteville.

- Aims to enhance cultural enrichment, urban revitalization, and boost the local economy.

- Next steps include a market feasibility study to evaluate project logistics.

Committee Involvements

- Chairwoman of the Homelessness and Mental Health Committee.

- Liaison for homelessness and mental health with the county.

- Active member of the Corridor Committee, Next Generation Workforce Committee, and Economic Development Committee.

Sunset Mobile Home Park initiative 

This year, we aim to build upon that foundation by revitalizing the Sunset Mobile Home Park. Our goals include improving the living conditions for residents, enhancing public spaces, and promoting a cleaner and more welcoming environment. We believe that with your guidance and support, we can make a meaningful impact.

I greatly appreciate the assistance from our police department, community leaders and staff in mobilizing resources, connecting with volunteers, and spreading the word about our upcoming cleanup and development efforts. Your leadership and insights would be invaluable to us.
